European Clearinghouse Financial Literacy

Application

as an information provider ...

... you can enter your material direct into the Clearinghouse database, anything from publications and services to the development and promotion of financial literacy programmes.

You will need to take the following steps:

Registration

To use the Clearinghouse as an information provider, you must register so that:

  • You can update your data
  • People interested in your material can contact you.
  1. Setting up access

Before you register for the first time, you need to set up access for your exclusive use by means of a user name and password, to enable you to work on your data.

We need the following information from you so that those interested in your material can access it:

    • first name and surname (not company or organisation)
    • address (including name of company or organisation)
    • log-in name
    • password
    • e-mail address
    • language
  2. Access clearance

Once access has been set up, the e-mail address you provided will be sent an e-mail containing a www. address. Access will only be cleared when you respond to that address.

  3. Acceptance of your data by the Clearinghouse

When access has been given clearance, you will be able to enter data. You will receive support from a data entry wizard, which will ensure that the necessary information is entered, and that your data complete and legible.

  4. In addition to formal information such as title, author and year of publication, you will be able to enter special characteristics of your data:

    • target groups
    • recommended application, teaching or advice context
    • focus on product areas of the financial services sector
    • countries your material concerns or for which it is appropriate
    • languages in which your material is available
  5. Updating and archiving

Even material which is no longer current may be helpful to users in providing inspiration for training or advice. The Clearinghouse is therefore intended not only to bring information providers and those interested in their material together; it also functions as an archive for ideas, concepts and teaching methods for financial education.

  6. Suggestions and criticisms

You can contact the Clearinghouse operator, the Institut für Finanzdienstleistungen in Hamburg, at any time with your suggestions or criticisms, or if you need further information about the Clearinghouse.
